Kristin's First Day of Second Grade

Well.........she has 1 week under her belt. If you can count 3 days as 1 week! We'll take it anyway. This week was Kristin's first 3 days of second grade, and from all evidence, it seemed to go well. She came home each day excited about what she had done and eager to go back again. She truly does seem to love school, an emotion which I hope continues throughout her school career.

Mom, on the other hand, was much more apprehensive than the second grader herself. Not as much as last year, I must admit, but enough. It eased with the end of each day, but I suspect it will never fully go away.

The two little sissies had a little adjustment too. They were a tad lost without their fearless leader. Before time to go pick her up on the first day, they were both ready to go and wondering when we were gonna leave, much before it was time to go.

It's a little too soon to tell, but I do feel like she has a good teacher. At least she's always one of the teachers smiling at the end of the day when I pick Kristin up, as not all of them are!

I never in a million years would have EVER thought I would say this; but, the second picture of Kristin looks like a combination of Aunt Nancy's and Aunt Deb's grade school pictures. Honest!
