Sunday at the Beach

Keevin has been visiting for about 2 1/2 weeks now, and today was his last day here with us. We decided to spend his last full day down at the beach cooking out. The weather turned out not to be as nice as we thought it was gonna be, but it was still enjoyable.

The girls took their new bikes to ride around. Kristin was able to maneuver in the grass, but Hannah, not so much. She spent a lot of time sitting on her bike begging for someone to push her, which we did occassionally.

The boys had a little bit of a difficult time with the fire. Someone had left some green wood in the pit and it didn't want to burn. They eventually got it going good enough that we could roast marshmallows, which is all the girls and I really cared about anyway ;) We took our own small, portable charcoal grill for the food this time, which worked out fine.
